A full-time, hourly paid position, 40 per week

Position Overview
The Project Manager Assistant supports the care, maintenance, improvement, and operational readiness of
Grace Klein Community's facilities and properties, including FeedBHM locations, Community Homes, and other
ministry sites. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, solving problems, and serving others
by ensuring our spaces remain safe, functional, and welcoming.
The Project Manager Assistant works alongside the Project Manager to complete maintenance tasks,
coordinate projects across multiple locations, respond to facility needs, and assist with equipment, landscaping,
repairs, and special projects.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
• Assist with maintenance and repair projects across multiple Grace Klein Community properties.
• Support preventative maintenance efforts to reduce future repair needs.
• Perform general facility upkeep, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, landscaping, and minor
electrical repairs as directed.
• Help maintain FeedBHM locations, Community Homes, and other ministry facilities.
• Transport tools, equipment, and materials between locations.
• Operate lawn mowers, trailers, and other maintenance equipment safely.
• Assist with the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of organization equipment, including
trailers, small engines, and gasoline- and diesel-powered machinery, ensuring equipment remains safe,
reliable, and mission-ready.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down for ministry events and special projects.
• Identify maintenance issues and proactively communicate solutions.
• Keep workspaces, vehicles, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and operational.
• Work alongside volunteers, staff, contractors, and community partners as needed.

• Respond to urgent maintenance needs with flexibility when unexpected issues arise.
• Support seasonal projects and property improvements as assigned.
• Lead and instruct serve teams on projects
• Recruit donations from vendors
• Garner business partners to be investors of each property
Qualifications:
We are looking for someone who is:

• Comfortable performing physical, hands-on work throughout the day
• Willing to work in dirty, hot, cold, or otherwise less-than-ideal conditions
• Able to manage multiple projects across multiple locations
• Able to work independently while also contributing to a team
• Familiar with basic hand tools and willing to learn additional equipment
• Willing to learn to safely operate lawn mowers, trailers, utility equipment, and other maintenance
machinery
• Able to pull and back a trailer or willing to be trained
• Flexible with scheduling when maintenance emergencies or ministry needs arise
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in facilities maintenance, construction, landscaping, property management, or a
related field
• Experience operating trailers or commercial lawn equipment
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or mechanical repairs
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Physical Requirements:
• Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work outdoors for extended periods
• Safely operate tools and equipment
• Work in varying weather conditions and environments
• Flexible to travel overnight as needed
Additional Notes:
• The position reports to Jason Waltman
• Hours are to be recorded on Isolved and confirmed end of day every Tuesday
• Time off to be requested on Isolved
• Payroll is via direct deposit, and paid weekly, on a Friday
