Position Overview
Grace Klein Community (GKC) is seeking a Hospitality Assistant to support the
preparation, organization, and execution of hospitality efforts for events, Serve Teams,
and community outreach initiatives, ensuring food and supplies are ready to effectively
serve volunteers and the community.
The Hospitality Assistant must be flexible, mission-minded, and willing to serve during
both standard and nontraditional hours as hospitality and community needs arise.

Key Responsibilities
Hospitality & Food Preparation
Prepare, pull, and organize food and supplies for hospitality events and outreach
efforts.
Assist with the setup and breakdown of hospitality areas, including food stations
and serving spaces.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and efficiency within all GKC kitchen and
storage areas.
Help create systems and organization within kitchens, particularly high-traffic
hospitality spaces.
Ensure proper food handling, food safety, and sanitation standards are followed.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the Serve Team &
Hospitality Coordinator.
Collaborate with staff and team leads to ensure smooth hospitality operations.
Support food mobilization efforts between GKC locations as needed.
Assist with maintaining hospitality readiness across multiple GKC locations.
Provide hospitality support where needs are greatest and remain flexible to
changing operational priorities.
Love Does & Community Engagement

Assist in developing and executing “Love Does” hospitality initiatives, blessing
and encouraging the community through food and intentional acts of care.
Identify “Set the Table” opportunities and assist in coordinating and executing
events, including communication with recipients and organizing items needed for
each event.
Coordinate and prepare hospitality trays, homemade goodies, and outreach
opportunities for volunteers, parents, families, and special events.
Help prepare hospitality elements supporting development and donor
engagement efforts.
Identify creative ways food and hospitality can strengthen relationships and serve
others throughout the city.
Volunteer and Team Support
Mobilize, coordinate, and support volunteer teams for hospitality preparation,
outreach efforts, and special events.
Assist in scheduling and coordinating volunteers to prepare homemade meals,
baked goods, and hospitality items regularly.
Foster a welcoming, engaging, and positive environment.
Equip volunteers with clear direction and support during hospitality preparation
and service opportunities.
Support Serve Teams by ensuring necessary food and supplies are available.
Deliver and set up food in GKC community homes and facilities.

Weekly Key Performance Indicators
Prepare and distribute 25–50 hospitality trays, baked goods, or encouragement
packages per month for volunteers, families, donors, and community members.
Recruit, schedule, or mobilize 15–25 volunteers per month for hospitality
preparation, outreach, or special events.
Coordinate and execute 2–4 “Set the Table” events per month.
Implement or improve one hospitality organization or system process per month
to increase efficiency or readiness.

Prepare and deliver hospitality support for 100% of scheduled GKC events and
outreach opportunities.

Qualifications
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Clear and effective communication skills.
Flexible, dependable, and willing to assist other GKC locations as needed.
Ability to lift and carry up to 20–30 lbs.
Ability to stand and move for extended periods of time.

Work Schedule
The role requires flexibility and is not limited to a traditional 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
schedule. Hospitality efforts, serve opportunities, volunteer engagement, and
community outreach may occasionally require early mornings, evenings, or weekends.
A flexible schedule will be coordinated with the supervisor based on operational needs.
