Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Interior Window Treatments Install Technician to join our team. This role involves installing a variety of window treatments, including blinds, shades, shutters, and custom coverings, in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to customer service and ability to identify issues and resolve problems on-the-spot. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision, craftsmanship, and a commitment to quality. Candidates should be comfortable working on construction sites and in homes and handling heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards throughout all tasks.

This job is part-time if only interested in installing window treatments, but has the option to work full-time filling the additional time as a sales associate in a hardware store and/or doing such tasks as making deliveries, assembling grills, receiving shipments, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Install interior window treatments such as blinds, shades, shutters, and custom coverings according to project specifications and client requirements.
  • Read and interpret order forms to insure proper placement.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, assemble, and install window treatment components.
  • Perform construction estimating for project planning and material procurement.
  • Execute related tasks including caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, cabinet installation, door hanging, metal stud framing, and remodeling as needed.
  • Handle heavy lifting safely when transporting and installing large or bulky window coverings.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure proper fitment and functionality of installed treatments.
  • Maintain a clean work environment on-site while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to coordinate project timelines and resolve any issues promptly.

Experience

  • Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and fabrication is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with glass installation, fixture installation, cabinet installation, frame carpentry, drywall finishing (including painting), metal stud framing, and remodeling projects is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with hand tools such as drills, saws, caulking guns; power tools including grinders or sanders; and specialized fabrication equipment.
  • Prior work on construction sites involving carpentry or maintenance person services will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices for heavy lifting and working at heights.
  • Experience in interior or exterior remodeling projects is a plus but not mandatory for all roles. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
