Golf Starter/Marshall

Position Summary:
In accordance with the principles of Greystone Golf & Country Club, the golf course starter will provide the
utmost hospitable service to members and their guests and create raving fans by managing tee times, providing
excellent customer service, enforcing course rules, and any other responsibility within the detailed department
and company standards.
Essential Functions:
• Greets golfers warmly and provides information about course policies, conditions, and pace of play
expectations.
• Manages the first tee, coordinates tee times, and ensures groups start on schedule.
• Maintains a consistent pace of play by monitoring groups and provides gentle reminders if necessary.
• Communicates with the Pro Shop regarding any delays, special circumstances, or player concerns.
• Ensures golfers have the appropriate equipment, attire, and carts as needed.
• Assists in keeping the starting area neat, organized, and ready for golfers.
• Enforces club rules and etiquette in a professional and courteous manner.
• Provides basic information about the course layout, hazards, and facilities.
• Assists with tournaments and special events as required.
Requirements:
• Knowledge of golf rules, etiquette, and pace of play requirements.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Previous experience in a golf course or customer service role is a plus.
