Position: School Nurse (Part-Time or Full-Time)
We are seeking a compassionate and confident nurse to join our team at Post Place / Unless U, a faith-based program
serving adults with developmental disabilities. This individual will play a vital role in supporting the health
and well-being of our students, many of whom have complex medical needs. The ideal candidate will feel confident
managing seizures, G-tubes, catheters, and other daily care routines, and will be comfortable responding to emergency
situations with calm and clarity. This position also includes a dual role as a teaching assistant, offering handson
support in the classroom when not completing nursing duties. If you have a heart for serving others, especially

Key Responsibilities
• Provide professional medical care and treatment for students.
• Monitor and respond to daily health concerns, including early detection of physical problems.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and student health documentation.
• Deliver emergency care to students and staff as needed.
• Support classroom instruction as a teaching assistant during non-nursing hours.
• Assist students with functional life skills such as feeding, toileting, and mobility in both school and community
settings.
• Observe, collect data, and communicate with staff regarding student needs.
• Supervise students during physical activities and transitions.
Qualifications
• Registered Nurse (RN) certification required.
• Current Alabama nursing license required.
• Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Confidence in handling medical procedures, including G-tubes, catheters, seizure management, and personal
care.

Hours & Pay
• Schedule: 2 days a week, 8:45 AM–2:15 PM. (This position could turn into full-time in the near future)
• Pay: $25/hour
