Accounting Manager

Job Summary:

Abacus Technologies is currently seeking an Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager will perform a variety of routine and non-routine accounting and finance tasks.

The primary responsibilities of the Accounting Manager position include:

  • Comprehends accounting principles, company policies, government regulations and applicable tax requirements and puts these principles into practice as directed.

  • Complete monthly invoice preparation, processing, tracking and delivery to Clients. Research discrepancies internally as appropriate Preparing routine reports and financial analysis, completing ad-hoc projects as assigned.

  • Managing the daily accounting functions including financial reporting, general ledger, budgeting, accounts receivable, cash receipts and fixed assets.

  • Managing Client service agreements and vendor resell/purchase contracts.

  • Maintain accurate client records to include primary contacts, sales tax status, and

  • Prepares, reviews and processes agreements / contracts for professional services and products.

  • Assist outsourced bookkeeper with Monthly reconciliation of credit card, bank accounts and general ledger accounts.

  • Follow up on open invoices with clients to determine payment schedule.

  • Review employee time sheets and expense reports for accuracy and assist with corrections.

  • Administrative support for CEO and Operation Team.

Education, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Associates degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience with Office Desktop Applications

  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online

  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles and GAAP

  • Proven ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.

  • Strong attention to detail, goal oriented.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
