Description
March 21st is World Down Syndrome Day, and it falls on 3/21, because Down syndrome occurs when there are 3 copies of the 21st chromosome. This World Down Syndrome Day falls on Friday, and we need your help to celebrate with a casual Friday tee in your workplace, school, and family.
By purchasing and wearing this casual Friday tee, you are showing everyone that our world is a better place because of the extra chromosome. Likewise, by helping us promote in your workplace, school, or family, you are not only joining in our celebration but are inviting others to our great, big party!
Imagine March 21, with as many people in our state wearing this very t-shirt to celebrate what people with Down syndrome mean to our communities and seeing others also wearing the same shirt knowing that together your shirt shows all the things we are proud to celebrate on that day.
In addition to wearing the shirts, we want to see pictures, videos, reels, and we want to repost, so tag us @dsacares to show you are part of the best soiree of the month! This is a great easy way for your business, school, or organization to receive publicity on behalf of our community and initiative.
Shirts can be purchased for $17.00 each from our online store hosted by Mustard Seed Apparel and can be drop-shipped to your home or business for a fee or can be picked up locally in Birmingham. The deadline to purchase shirts is March 9. You can purchase your t-shirt or t-shirts for your office or organization through this link: https://bit.ly/3PYPyIp. The proceeds from the shirts will benefit Down Syndrome Alabama, a state-wide organization that educates, advocates, and connects people with Down syndrome, their families, and their communities. Down Syndrome Alabama is a 501c3 non-profit organization.
Won’t you join us in celebrating all the wonderful things Down syndrome brings to our world? If you have any questions, please direct them to downsyndromealabama@gmail.com.
