Alabama will hold its 18th annual severe weather preparedness sales tax holiday, beginning Friday, February 24, at 12:01 am and ending Sunday, February 26, at midnight. This event gives shoppers the opportunity to purchase certain severe weather preparedness items free of state and Vestavia Hills city sales tax, and partially for Jefferson County sales tax.
