Haunt the Hills

Description

Our fourth annual Haunt the Hills Trick-or-Treat Night will be on Friday, October 17* on the Grand Lawn at Wald Park! Trick-or-Treat on the Grand Lawn with local businesses & enjoy games & inflatables from 4:30-6:00 pm! 

Dress in your best family-friendly costume for a Costume Contest. 
Bring your Carved or Painted Pumpkin to enter in the Pumpkin contest. Contest Winners will be announced at 6:15 pm. Both contests are free to participate in. See below for registration information.

Don’t Forget a chair or blanket to watch Hotel Transylvania at 6:30 pm.

Costume Contest

Participants will need to complete the registration form here and submit a photo of themselves in their costume, either uploaded to through the form or emailed to chamber@vestaviahills.org. Each contestant will be assigned a number. Photos will be posted on the Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce website and Facebook page with their assigned number (but not their names) at 4:00 pm on October 16. The link for the public to vote for their favorite contestants will also be posted on October 16. Voting ends at 5:45 pm, October 17. Winners will be announced at 6:15 pm at Haunt the Hills on October 17. Registration will close at 11:00 am on October 16. There will be no registration at the event.

• Free to participate
• You do not have to be present to win. 
• If registering multiple people, please fill out a separate form for each person. 
• You may register individually for your age group category and for the Groups category if you are part of a group costume.
• Costumes must be Family Friendly
• In case of rain, contest will be postponed to October 21 raindate and registration will re-open.

Pumpkin Contest

Pre-register for this year's Pumpkin Contest here! When you arrive at Haunt the Hills, check in at the Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce table where you will receive your contest number and be directed where to place your pumpkin. Signs with the voting website link will be posted around the park. Voting ends at 5:45 pm. Winners will be announced at 6:15 pm. Registration will also be available at the event.

• Free to participate
• Bring your already carved or decorated pumpkin to enter.
• You will be able to take your pumpkin when you leave.
• You do not have to be present to win. 
• If registering multiple people, please fill out a form for each person.
