Description
During November, Alabama Public Library Service will hold town meetings throughout the state. These meetings will provide the opportunity for community leaders, stakeholders and citizens to plan for the future of public libraries.Your community's voice is needed to tell us what is valued in libraries and to discuss the role of the public library. In addition, this information will be used to develop a Five-Year Plan for Library Development that is necessary to receive federal funding. APLS receives over $2.2 million in federal funds.
The meeting in the Birmingham area will be held on November 3 from 4:00-6:00 pm at the Homewood Public Library (1721 Oxmoor Road).
