Presenter: Daniel Haulman, Chief, Organizational Histories Branch, Air Force Historical Research Agency, Maxwell AFB, and author of Tuskegee Airmen The Tuskegee Airmen were the first African-American pilots in American military history, and telling their story is especially appropriate during Black History Month. This presentation will discuss their training, organization, combat experiences, and famous officers; as well as address some common myths that surround them such as the false “never lost a bomber” claim.
