May is Older Americans Month! Birmingham Festival Theatre knows that laughter is the best medicine so, in honor of Birmingham seniors, the theatre will salute The Seasoned Performers. TSP, celebrating 29 years of touring plays and readings by and for older Americans, is Alabama's only senior adult theatre company. The group is also the second longest running senior adult theatre in America, and they are preparing a very special public performance for Older Americans Month. On Sunday May 19 at 2:00 p.m., at Birmingham Festival Theatre, The Seasoned Performers will present the 45-minute comedy Make ‘em Laugh, an homage to Vaudeville, directed by Ellise Mayor. Tickets are $15 and include a wine and cheese reception following the performance. Donations will be received gratefully.
