Description
Franklin Delano Roosevelt and the New Deal will describe the efforts of President Roosevelt and his Brain Trust to overcome the challenges of the Great Depression, and by association, will compare his efforts to those of the present administration in combating the current crises. The course will review all the New Deal programs, successful and unsuccessful, but special emphasis will be placed on the Works Progress Administration, a jobs program that built roads, schools, dams, hospitals, airports and housing.
