The Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day will be held on April 26, 2014, from 8:00-11:00 am at McLendon Park (adjacent to Legion Field). The event is free for residents of Jefferson County. Residents can bring items including: ammunition, prescription drugs, used motor oil, electronics, white goods, paint to be destroyed and paper to be shredded.
