Optometric Technician

Optometric practice in Vestavia seeking an energetic, motivated and friendly optometric
technician. We are willing to train in all areas of the practice. The position is full time (32-40
hours p/week). High school diploma or GED required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Conducts patient history and preliminary testing, contact lens training, and other testing as
directed by the doctor.
2) Front desk services including answering the telephone, scheduling appointments, preparing
charts and insurances, dispensing eyewear and contact lenses, and collecting payments.
3) Assisting patients in selecting eyewear, making lens recommendations and taking
measurements for spectacles and other optical lab responsibilities.
