DESCRIPTION:This annual breakfast is one of the most well-attended and moving events in our city. At this event\, dignitaries and local citizens come together to offer prayers for our world\, country\, state and city. \n\nThis year we are honored to have as our keynote speaker Bob Lujano. Bob is a quadruple amputee.On January 7\, 1979\, Bob contracted meningococcemia\, a rare form of meningitis. To save his life\, all four limbs had to be amputated. From that day on\, Bob's goal has been to live an independent life like everyone else. Bob continues to work at the Lakeshore Foundation\, an official U.S. Olympic and Paralympic training site\, which is also home to the Lima Foxtrot program for recently wounded veterans. He is an advocate in the area of adaptive and competitive wheelchair sports and serves as President for the USQRA\, the United States Quad Rugby Association. In 2013 he was listed as one of the 20 Most Beautiful People in Birmingham\, Alabama. He recently wrote a book\, No Arms\, No Legs\, No Problem\, which is available for purchase at www.amazon.com. \n\nTuesday\, April 28\, 2015\n\nBuffet opens at 7:00 am\; Program begins at 7:30 am\n\nVestavia Country Club\n\nTickets cost $20 each and must be purchased in advance.\n\nTickets have sold out!
