SUMMARY:Mayor's Prayer Breakfast 2013
DESCRIPTION:23nd Annual \n\n	Mayor's Prayer Breakfast\n\n \n\n	This annual breakfast is one of the most well-attended and moving events in our city. At this event\, dignitaries and local citizens come together to offer prayers for our world\, country\, state and city.\n\n \n\n	This year we are honored to have Sergeant Noah Galloway (retired) as our keynote speaker. Sergeant Galloway\, a native of the Birmingham area\, served as an infantry soldier with the 101st Airborne Division\, and was one of the few elite soldiers who fought on the front line in Operation Iraqi Freedom. During his service\, Sergeant Galloway lost his left arm above the elbow and left leg above the knee in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) attack. After days of unconsciousness\, he awoke late on Christmas Eve to discover the extent of his injuries. Sergeant Galloway's physical\, mental\, and emotional recovery since his injury has been nothing short of amazing. He has excelled in feats of incredible strength and endurance\, including participating in three Tough Mudder competitions and the Bataan Memorial Death March as a member of TEAM X-T.R.E.M.E. He has an incredibly inspiring message to share.\n\n	\n\n	Online ticket sales are now closed. \n\n	Please call the Chamber Office at 823-5011 if you would like to purchase a ticket.
