DESCRIPTION:Jefferson State Community College will hold an Inaugural Judy M. Merritt 5K Run and One-Mile Fun Walk for the community on March 14\, 2015 at the Shelby-Hoover Campus.\n\n \n\nThe event will help Jefferson State and the community celebrate "50 Years of Changing Lives" and honor the tremendous legacy of long-time President Judy Merritt. Funds raised during the event will be used to help students by funding the Judy M. Merritt Scholarship Fund.\n\n \n\nThe 5K Run will begin at 8:00 a.m. at Veterans Park on Valleydale Road. The One-Mile Fun Walk will begin at 9:00 a.m.\n\n \n\nAwards will be given to the top three male and female overall winners\, with other awards for the top age group winners. Special awards will be given to current Jefferson State students.
