DESCRIPTION:2016 Birmingham Kidney Walk\n \n\nApril 30\, 2016\n\nSamford Track and Soccer Stadium\, Samford University\nThe Birmingham Kidney Walk is a signature event of the Alabama Kidney Foundation\, served to increase kidney disease awareness and to raise critically needed funds for local efforts made by the Foundation\, including financial assistance\, education\, and support services for Alabama's kidney patients.\n\n\n\nThis event is a half day filled with fun activities for the whole family to enjoy\, and to celebrate our participants' hard work in fundraising and raising awareness!\n\n \nGet Started in Just 3 Easy Steps!\n\n\n\n\n1. Register! You can register as an individual walker\, or you can start or join a team! \n\n\n\n2. Raise Money! Ask friends\, relatives\, neighbors and co-workers to sponsor you in the Walk by making donations to the Alabama Kidney Foundation. Use your own envelope or request a collection envelope from the Foundation to collect donations.\n\n\n\n3. Enjoy the Day! Join us on Walk Day! A $30 minimum collection of donations is required for adult entry\, which will provide you with breakfast\, lunch\, snacks\, and access to all the fun of the day. Walk one lap or five miles! Just have fun! Patients and children are invited to attend for free. \n\n\n\nRegistration begins at 8:30 am.
