Those who pre-order the picnic will have their name entered in a door-prize drawing to be held at the concert. Members of the ASYO rehearse weekly at Birmingham-Southern College\, work regularly with the Musicians and Conductors of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra\, and perform concerts spanning from standard orchestral repertoire to pops and chamber music. The ASYO is open to students ages 12-22 who play an orchestral instrument\, and currently consists of 67 young musicians from 27 Alabama cities and 26 schools.
